I Quit – Tafawa Balewa

The son of the former Prime Minister, Alhaji Jhalil Tafawa-Balewa announced his decision not to take part in the presidential primary election of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) slated for December 6.


A presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Jhalil Tafawa-Balewa, has said he is no longer interested in challenging President Goodluck Jonathan for the party’s ticket.

It became known to newsmen during a press conference organised by the former Federal Commissioner for Information, Chief Edwin Clark, in Abuja on Thursday. Apart from withdrawing from the presidential race, he pledged his support for the candidacy of President Goodluck Jonathan.
